Cindy teaches all of our material culture classes here at CGP.  She is an invaluable source of knowledge and guidance for students.  She is a wonderful faculty member to have, and we're all very glad she's here.

Brian Alexander

Brian Alexander teaches the museum administration classes, including Finance, Strategic Planning, and Governance.  He has held executive positions in museums for over thirty years, and has already demonstrated an outstanding commitment to guiding students as we enter the museum field.

 

Carlyn S. Buckler

Carlyn teaches all of the CGP science classes, and is passionate about
science education communication in museums.  She was a researcher in molecular genetics before coming to the museum industry, where she worked at the Paleontological Research Institution/Museum of the Earth, Cornell University for over a decade. She has been an invaluable resource to students.
 

Paul D'Ambrosio

Paul is one of the leading authorities on folk art.  He teaches art history classes here at CGP and engages students in the Fenimore's wonderful collection.  Despite being incredibly busy at the New York State Historical Association, he always makes time for students, and is yet another reason this program is so prestigious.

 

Garet D. Livermore

Garet teaches the Introduction to Museum Education class.  He is the Executive Director of Great Camp Sagamore in the Adirondacks, but still takes time to bring his extensive experience in museum education and administration to CGP.

 

Erin Richardson

Erin teaches our Collections Acquisitions, Care, and Management class.  Erin uses her experience in the field to make the class relevant and hands-on, as opposed to strictly theoretical.  She is also very busy at the New York Historical Association, but always goes out of her way to help students when they need it. 

 

Katie Boardman

Katie's classes are always enjoyable, and her positive attitude brightens everyone's day.  She is an expert in museums, and runs her own museum consultant firm called the Cherry Valley Group.  If you have a question about museums, she can probably answer it. 

 

Stephen Gadomski

Steve comes from a unique background among the faculty; prior to CGP, he was a businessman on Wall Street.  Now, he adds his business acumen to the marketing classes at CGP.  His work here is extremely useful to us as students, as museums must use entrepreneurial strategies to survive.

 

Rosemary Craig

Cathy is our alumni coordinator.  She keeps in touch with all of our alumni, sends out the alumni newsletter, coordinates fundraising, and manages the Cooperstown Graduate Association.   If you ever need something in Cooperstown, Cathy knows where to get it.  

 

Ann Stewart

Annie coordinates with SUNY Oneonta on financial issues for CGP, and helps both Rosemary and Cathy, as well as anyone else who asks.  In addition, she is our staff photographer and beautifully captures the daily life of CGP.  As a graduate of CGP she represents our wonderful alumni network.

 

JoAnn C. VanVranken

CGP Librarian

 

JoAnn is our librarian at the New York State Historical Association Library.  She works very hard to keep all of our readings in order and on the shelf, and always goes the extra mile when a student needs help.  She's very friendly and always happy to see students in the library.  Make sure you say hello to her while you wait for your interview!
